This course is a 6 week Online Learning Course (OLC), which will provide the student with deeper understanding of professional ethics for the Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator (CCDI). This distance learning course is provided by the Center For Investigative Study in coordination with the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council (CDITC), as a distance online learning course of instruction. This course satisfies the academic requirement for five continuing Learning and Education units (CLE) (5), mandated by the CDITC to meet the yearly requirements to maintain the CCDI designation, and is a CDITC approved online program. This course consists of six one week sessions that include two weekly discussion questions, A live 1 Hr. lecture/laboratory and the completion of weekly readings. There is one written assignment/lab that must be completed by the student each week. Over the next six weeks we will: Examine the Legal and Professional Standards Examine the Ethical Imperatives of the CCDI Identify Ethical Pitfalls Examine Investigative bias Explore Professional Relationships
